Potential health application vulnerabilities, such as those on mobile and cloud-based applications, is a top concern among healthcare IT executives, according to a recent HIMSS and Veracode survey.
HIMSS and Veracode interviewed 200 healthcare IT executives for The State of Web and Mobile Application Security, and found that along with potential application exploitation, the potential for loss of life due to compromised networks or medical devices was also a key concern.
Regulatory enforcement concerns and potential brand damage from patient data theft were also top cybersecurity issues, according to survey respondents.
